SUMMARY OF THE WORKSHOP: CREATING CHARACTERS FOR AN ANIMATED PRODUCTION.
This live workshop will cover the key steps to transform a 2D concept into a 3D production-ready character for animation. Together we'll focus on achieving expressive, dynamic, and production-ready models while maintaining efficient workflows.
DAY 01: Establishing the foundation.
● Gather references and block out the base model.
● Explore gesture and proportions to build strong foundations.
● Analyze and refine the silhouette for readability and appeal.
● Polypaint and first retopology pass.
DAY 02: Refining the Character and posing the maquette
● Refine shapes and structure while maintaining fluidity.
● Focus on natural shapes that convey life and character.
● Sculpt clothes, accessories, and hair with movement and style in mind.

DAY 03: Polishing and presentation
● Refine the pose and add the final touches.
● Enhance storytelling using expressiveness in features and body language
● Presentation tips and flexible time for critiques and portfolio reviews.
BONUS CONTENT (Time Permitting)
● Export models into Maya, apply basic shaders, lighting, and create a presentation render.

What happens if I can´t see the classes live one day?
No problem. All classes are live but will also be recorded and posted on our platform. So you can see them whenever you want throughout the duration of the course. This means that if you cannot attend your class live at the stipulated time, you will be able to see them on the platform until the end of the course. These video-classes posted on the platform can be viewed unlimitedly during the duration of the course, but they cannot be copied or downloaded. Recorded class can also be viewed for 6 mounths once the course is over.
When can I see the classes I did not attend live?
